Laura Henderson already has two loves in her life: her cat, and her ever-increasing shoe collection. Three, if you include her best friend Martyn.
But, as Martyn's wedding day approaches, Laura starts to think it might be nice to have someone to snuggle up to on those cold Mancunian nights. Join her as she enters the farcical, and occasionally disastrous, world of online dating.
Is she destined to be the crazy cat lady with the nice shoes, or will she find her Mr Swipe Right?
Straighten Up And Swipe Right is currently available on Amazon in paperback and on Kindle.
Oh, my giddy aunt! What a bloomin' brilliant book! This has to be the best book I have read in a VERY long time. Lu Etchells has done a fabulous job in making her leading lady likeable and endearing. Her adventures as she dips her toes (but not her precious shoes) back in the dating pool had me crying with laughter. And I really do mean crying! Throw into the mix a big fluffy cat and a best mate with Tourettes and you have all the makings of an absolutely wonderful novel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Kiltie Jackson, Author
Wow what can I say I think everyone needs a little bit of Lu Etchells and her wonderful book straighten up and swipe right now. This was an amazing book and far more than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. - Helen Appleby
As soon as I saw Lu Etchells was bringing this out, I pre ordered it straight away purely because, after reading When All That’s Left Is Hope, I just knew this would be another outstanding read.... and I certainly was not wrong. From the minute I picked this book up, I knew I would have to clear my day of anything I had planned because there was no way I would be able to leave this book unattended. I salute you Mrs Etchells on yet another amazing book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Emma Bunting
Lu Etchells has a unique writing style, like a new friend is telling you their life story. So different to other women’s fiction I’ve read. This beautiful story had so much touching elements and humour, I was literally laughing out loud! I cried, chuckled, winced and nodded in agreement. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Wendy Clarke, The Fiction Cafe Book Club
I get it, buying a book from an unknown indie author may feel like a gamble. There's still this stereotype amongst some that Indie authors aren't any good (I mean, they'd have a publishing deal if they were, right?). Let's not get in to that for now - we've only just met ;)
To make it easier for you to decide for yourself whether you want to risk your hard earned pennies on a copy of Straighten Up and Swipe Right, I will give you FREE access to the first chapter here. I'm not even going to ask for your email address - just have at it, my lovely little book lover.
Fingers crossed you like it :)
